What LinkACode does
LinkACode issues short codes. A code stands for a server address you give us, and our API returns that address to software that asks for it. That is the whole service. We do not host, supply, proxy, cache or inspect anything at the address you choose, and we have no involvement in what is served there.
Your responsibilities
You must own or be authorised to use the address you point a code at, and what you provide there must be lawful where you and your customers are. You are responsible for what you distribute your codes for.
The 24-hour window
A destination may be changed freely for 24 hours from the moment the code is issued. After that it is fixed. Contact support if you have made a genuine mistake.
Codes are not exclusive to an address
Different customers may point codes at the same address. Codes are unique; addresses are not, and we never tell one customer anything about another.
Suspension
We may switch off a code or close an account for unlawful use, for abuse of the service, or where a code is being used to mislead people about where they are being sent. Where we can we will tell you first.
Refunds
Codes are issued immediately on payment and cannot be returned once issued. If a code could not be issued, you are refunded in full.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. We are not liable for loss arising from a destination being unreachable, from a code being switched off, or from anything served at an address a code points to. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
